NanoMedicine is a Research Division in The University of Texas Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston , directed by Professor Mauro Ferrari. The University of Texas Department of Biomedical Engineering is an Inter-Institutional Department formed by three University of Texas System components, The University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

The Division of NanoMedicine focuses on inter-disciplinary research to combine nano-engineering, mathematical modeling and biomedical sciences to develop nanotechnology enabled therapeutic and diagnostic platforms for combating diseases including cancer, cardiovascular diseases and infectious diseases.
